Religion and Ethnicity is Causing Division among Nigerians

Looking at the presidential race for 2015, majority of Nigerians are simply divided based on their religious belief. Most Christian in the nation are actually supporting the candidacy of Jonathan while most Muslim are
supporting Buhari. In fact, many churches and christian organisations are forwarding different messages that is meant to jeopardize the chance of Buhari but only few of the christian, most especially those in the south  western and the south eastern state failed to accept the idea of Buhari trying to make Nigeria an islamic nation. Even so many big pastors are trying to preach or convince the members of their churches to vote for the re-election of the current president GEJ simply because he is a christian and Buhari is a muslim. Most of the people from the south-south part of the nation are not only propagating the candidacy of Jonathan for religious sake but they are also propagating him because he is from their Geo-political zone. The term na our brother is the major language the south-south people of Nigeria are ready to say without any concrete achievement to support the candidacy of Jonathan. Many Nigerians forget that the race for the presidency of the nation should not be simply based on religion and ethnic group rather it should be based on who can or who as delivered to the nation. With these rate at which religion and ethnicity is dividing Nigeria, I don't think the most people of the nation are ready for any reasonable development or progress in the nation. it we be wise if we forget who is from our ethnic group or with tyhe same religious background so as to move the nation forward.
